  • June 12, National Women Veterans Day.  Inviting women Veterans to join us at our morning Veterans Coffee to be recognized for their service to our country.  ALL VETERANS ARE INVITED TO JOIN US FOR OUR MORNING EVENT.

  • June 12 Following the morning Veterans Coffee eventthere will be a “Women Veterans Summit”, including lunch (sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation).  Women Veterans, Veteran Spouses and Caregivers of Veterans, plan to spend the day with us.  The Summit will begin with an important program about self-defense presented by www.armoredselfdefense.com .  There will be Support Resource Organizations for you to visit, and presentations related to physical, mental & financial wellness.  There will also be time to visit with other Women Veterans.  Featured speaker, US Army, Brigadier General (Ret.) Twanda “Tia” Young.

Winston-Salem, Monday, May 13, 2024, beginning at 9:00 am. Women Veterans Coffee & Conversation.  Join the Veteran Veterans Bridge Home team for information and conversation with other women Veterans.  These Women Veteran events are held on the 2nd Monday of each month.  Presented by Veterans Bridge Home, Goodwill, 2701 University Pkwy. A “Women Veterans “only” Coffee & Conversation”  Alia Schenck will be speaking on available mental health support. Salisbury, Saturday, May 25.  Special Flag postings at both the Active National Cemetery and the Historic National Cemetery.  Join Boy Scouts and other volunteers to place American Flags at the headstones of those buried in both of these cemeteries.  This special morning of Veteran recognition begins at 8:00 am.

Kernersville, NC, Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Recognition Ceremony, beginning at 10:30 am with music by the US Navy Band.  “Carolina Field of Honor”  Triad Park, 9652 W. Market St.  This event is hosted by the War Memorial Foundation to Honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country…..  BRING LAWN CHAIRS. This special event is open to the public.

Greensboro, NC:  Veterans Coffee event.  Thursday morning, June 20, beginning at 8:30 am.  Presented by Veterans Bridge Home and Guilford County.  Golden Corral, 4404 Landview Dr., sponsored by Guilford County. These Veteran Coffees will be held on the 3rd Thursday of every other month. June 20, August 15 and October 17. We would take December off, because of the holidays.

1:30 – 4:30 PM.  This free event is sponsored by the City of High Point and the Heroes Center. The event will be hosted at the Stock & Grain, downtown High Point. Activities for every age.

High Point, NC: Veterans Coffee, May 20, 9:00 – 10:30 am, The event is held at the Showplace Furniture Showroom foyer, 211 E Commerce Ave. All Veterans are invited to join the Heroes Center team for a morning of refreshments, camaraderie and information about benefits you earned while serving our country.  Join us and bring another Veteran or family member with you. Lexington NC. 38th Annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony. Saturday, June 1st, join the Marine Corps League for their 14th Annual Percy John Fulton MUD RUN at the Jomeokee Campground and Park.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit numerous charities, including Semper Fi & America’s Fund, with specific support to Wounded Warrior Bn.
