Special Announcement

Recently, Trellis Supportive Care hired Jacob Gordon as the Director of Community Programming.  Mr. Gordon is a community engagement specialist who has managed large volunteer programs, worked with older adult services, and, most recently, was the Executive Director of Uptown Lexington, Inc. where he held the first-annual American Heroes event on Main Street over Memorial Day Weekend.  Gordon will work with Don until his retirement at the end of the year to ensure the program will continue to grow and positively affect the lives of Veterans throughout the 13-County service area.  The Community Programming team at Trellis works with Veterans programs, Advance Care Planning, caregiver support, and community outreach to underserved populations.  Gordon has a BA from Furman University and an MPA from Appalachian State.  He can be reached at:

  • Wednesday, December 14, beginning at 9:00 am.  RCR Event Center, 425 Industrial Dr. Welcome, NC.  Our Year End Veterans Coffee Celebration Remembering the Attack on Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Chosen,and Recognizing WWII and Korean War Veterans.  Please consider donating “NEW” Children’s Clothing and Toys to be divided between attending Marine Corps League Detachments for their “TOYS FOR TOTS” PROGRAM.  We will be accepting American Flags that need to be properly retired.  A full breakfast will be served.
  • VETERANS CUP hosts a weekly VETERANS coffee on the first, third, fourth and fifth Wednesday of each month; from 8:30 am until 10:30 am. The venue for the VETERANS CUP coffee is located at the AMERICAN LEGION POST 55 in Winston Salem; 111 Miller Street.  The coffee is open to all VETERANS, spouses, widows, widowers and VETERANS advocates. Please join us for fellowship, coffee and pastries.  
  • Statesville, Veterans Coffee, the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 9:00 am.  American Legion Post 65, 2446 Salisbury Rd., 704 872-5098


  • Cycling Heals Vets Connect, Winston-Salem.  The 2nd Tuesday of each month, 9:00 – 11:30 am (Rain or Shine) 815 Salem Lake Rd, Winston-Salem, NC.  Veterans are invited to participate in activities:  Cycling (bicycles and helmets provided), Jogging, Walking, Fishing and Fellowship.  Refreshments provided.                Vets Connect:  336 764-5967
