Community is key in preserving and promoting the well being of our beloved VETERANS, families and circles. We had a great time with Trellis Supportive Care at their honoring of our VETERANS lunch and learn event last Tuesday. Thank you General Bud Martin for a wonderful presentation. The talent within the American Legion Post 55 Arts & Crafts Festival this past Saturday was and is always phenomenal! Shout out to the VFW 5352 for allowing Partners, Forsyth Mental Health Association and the partnership thereof for hosting a community discussion regarding VETERAN suicide.

Toys For Tots Campaign. MCL Detachment 1075 is in full swing of the campaign and we need to make sure the children of our area do not feel the pinch of the grinch. Many of the families from the Western Carolina region have relocated to our area with young children in tow. These people have lost everything. We need to circle the wagons anyway that we can. New unopened toys are being accepted at many locations including the fair. Find a Toys For Tots box near you or consider putting one in your business, house of worship, etc. Cash and checks are encouraged
