The contractor is responsible for all traffic control and detours will be in place. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and plan for alternate routes.
Sewer Rehab Closures
Work continues on sewer rehabilitation projects in Winston-Salem. A contractor will close the following streets to through traffic weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 20-24:
- Shuman Street between Hutton and Holland streets
- Butler Street between Stonefield Crossing Court and Waughtown Street
- Charles Street between Thomasville Road and Easton Drive
- Devonshire Street between Stockton and Patria streets
- Northbound lane of Glenn Avenue between Patterson Avenue and 24th Street
The contractor is responsible for all traffic control. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and plan for alternate routes.
Academy Street Overnight Lane Closure
The eastbound lane of Academy Street will be closed from Peters Creek Parkway to Hutton Street in Winston-Salem starting after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, for water system improvements. Work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and plan for alternate routes.
